Chief Executive-Team Leader

Richard Giles

Pray for Richard Giles as he assumes the role of our new Chief Executive and Team Leader from Thursday May 1st.

Richard joins MMI after 30+ years’ service in the Army and 5 years in Christian ministry in a variety of executive appointments. He was commissioned into the Royal Signals and during his service completed tours in Germany, Northern Ireland, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Kuwait and France. In addition to command appointments, Richard served in the United Nations, on loan service, at RMA Sandhurst as an instructor and completed various staff appointments in operations, project/programme management and military diplomacy.

After leaving the Army he moved into Christian ministry, working with Compassion, OCCA the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics and Urban Saints.

Richard and his wife have 3 children (all have left home) and one grandchild. They continue to work with children as short- term foster carers, live in the Cotswolds and are members of the local church. Richard and Tracey also have a passion for the outdoors and are often found in the mountains, hiking and skiing, or on the water, sailing.

Richard is now looking forward to leading MMI forward.
